"Mead Orchards is our family's picturesque, 180-acre fruit orchard and vegetable farm, located in the beautiful Mid-Hudson River Valley of New York! We've been here since 1916, and now grow nearly 40 varieties of apples, as well as peaches, pears, plums, cherries, strawberries and other berries. We also grow a wide variety of delicious greens, summer vegetables, winter squashes, pumpkins, and decorative gourds.

"Our family has been farming this land for six generations -- since 1855, and as times have changed, so have we. My husband, Fred, and I have been going to Greenmarket in Brooklyn, NY since 1984, and with the help of our four children, we also started pick-your-own apples at our home farm.
